During this time of physical distancing, we cannot engage with you, our community as we had planned. We had some fun events on the cards for the start of this year and then.... well, we all know what happened.
In an effort to still engage with you and see what you have been up to during this strange time we thought we could bring you physical distance appropriate content, like this verge garden competition.
Did you know that the City of Bayswater and the Water Corporation have teamed up to create a waterwise greening program to help residents create their own waterwise verge gardens? It's an incentive to take ownership of the council land next to your property but also to make us of the space to suit your needs.
If you have a verge and you'd like to make use of it, the City of Bayswater even subsidises your efforts with financial support.

If you're a resident of the suburb of Bayswater- we'd love for you to enter our verge garden competition. Check out this map to see if you are in the catchment area
When: 26th April - 15th May (winners announced 17th May)
What: Show off your verge garden and win cash vouchers to spend at local businesses
Where: On your verge garden- physically distanced from everyone
Why: To show off your beautiful garden, incentivise others to do the same and to win prizes for your efforts
